In the evening, all these Cattle Egrets go to Roseate Spoonbill nesting area and stay all night and then fly off early in the morning.

on October 4, 2020Wow !!! Awesome capture ! I would love to find a place like this one with so many birds near my home . Great contrast of green foliage against the dark sky ! And birds are so many , they could be flowers of tree ! It's amazing to see they follow the curve of first plan trees . They are really at the same place ... not in the tree behind for example. Beautiful roseate spoonbill making a touch of pink in flight !

on March 4, 2020A great view of the Stick Marsh. We call this kind of place "a dorm" here. It is very impressive to see so many birds together. Their noise is not trivial either! I suppose Cattle Egrets and Roseate Spoonbill are living well together. No one tries to pick the eggs of the other ones. Is that right ? Note: I will be away for a few weeks. Do not be surprised not to read me while waiting. I apologize in advance.

on March 3, 2020Oh, I love this Arnold! And the moody sky is a great backdrop for the hill of Egrets. I love the single Roseate Spoonbill in the mix too. Excellent composition.
