This horse sculpture appears to be made out of driftwood but it's actually all bronze.

on August 7, 2019I recognized the artist of this horse immediately (Deborah Butterfield), and when I went to the Hunter Museum website their list of works in their sculpture garden confirmed my ID. I also noted there were works in the collection by artists who, like Butterfield, are represented in the Meijer Gardens venue I visit. It is so much fun for me to make these connections between my own experiences and those of other smuggers.
Thanks for sharing these shots from your visit to the Hunter.
